JSW Steel has announced its combined crude steel production for the fiscal year 2026, reaching 30.14 million tonnes, marking an 8% year-on-year growth. In FY26, Indian Operations produced 29.25 million tonnes, an 8% increase from the previous year. JSW Steel USA – Ohio contributed 0.83 million tonnes. The consolidated production stood at 30.08 million tonnes. Additionally, JSW Sambalpur Steel Ltd. (JSSL) added 0.06 million tonnes, bringing the combined production including JSSL to 30.14 million tonnes for FY26. The steel business undertaking of Bhushan Power and Steel Limited was transferred to JSW Sambalpur Steel Limited on March 27, 2026, forming a joint venture with JFE Steel Japan. The company's Salem unit saw capacity expansion from 1.0 MTPA to 1.15 MTPA effective March 2026, following upgrades to its casters, ladle furnace, and vacuum degasser in January and February 2026. However, Blast Furnace-3 (BF-3) at Vijayanagar was under shutdown for capacity upgradation from the end of September 2025. The capacity utilization for combined Indian operations was approximately 92% excluding BF-3 capacity and 87% including it. For the fourth quarter of FY26, combined crude steel production was 7.49 million tonnes. The capacity utilization for the combined Indian operations during the quarter was approximately 96% excluding BF-3 capacity and 87% including it. Indian Operations produced 7.28 million tonnes in Q4 FY26, while JSW Steel USA – Ohio produced 0.15 million tonnes. Consolidated production for the quarter was 7.43 million tonnes.
