Iris Clothings Limited announced its strategic move to acquire a 51% stake in Infinia, a well-established men's and women's athleisure brand. This acquisition signifies a significant expansion for Iris, moving beyond its core kidswear business into one of India's fastest-growing apparel segments, thereby broadening its addressable market. Over two decades, Iris has established a strong presence in children's apparel. The acquisition of Infinia represents the next phase of growth, allowing Iris to enter the athleisure market through an existing business with a proven customer base and market acceptance, rather than building a new brand from scratch. The athleisure market is experiencing rapid growth due to increasing consumer preference for comfortable, functional, and lifestyle-oriented clothing, driven by factors like rising health awareness and hybrid work culture. Infinia, founded over six years ago, has built a strong position in this segment with quality products and a compelling value proposition. This acquisition is expected to unlock strategic synergies by combining Infinia's brand and category expertise with Iris' strengths in manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain management, brand building, and distribution. The goal is to accelerate distribution, enhance product innovation, improve operational efficiencies, and solidify Iris' position as a diversified branded apparel company. With this move, Iris Clothings aims to transform into a multi-category apparel business, covering children's, men's, and women's segments. This aligns with the company's long-term strategy of building a larger, more diversified, and profitable business. Mr. Santosh Ladha, Managing Director of Iris Clothings Limited, stated, "At Iris, we have always believed in growing thoughtfully and creating strong brands that resonate with consumers. Over the years, we have earned a trusted position in the kidswear market, and we see this as the right time to expand into new, high-potential categories. Infinia has built an impressive brand in the athleisure space, and we are excited to welcome them into the Iris family. Together, we see tremendous opportunities to combine our strengths, reach more consumers, introduce innovative products, and build an even stronger branded apparel business for the years ahead." For FY26, Iris Clothings reported Total Income of ₹1,909 million (₹190.9 crore), EBITDA of ₹294 million (₹29.4 crore), and Net Profit of ₹162 million (₹16.2 crore).
