Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, IREDA Global Green Energy Finance IFSC Ltd. (IGGEFIL), has sanctioned its first international loan amounting to USD 22.5 million (approximately ₹187.5 crore).
This significant milestone was approved during a Board meeting held in New Delhi on January 16, 2026. The loan has been extended to M/s Swarna Solar Limited (SSL) for the development of a 100 MW Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant located in the Serenje District of the Central Province of Zambia.
