Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has submitted the voting results and Scrutinizer’s Report for its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held on July 7, 2026. The meeting, conducted via Video Conferencing, saw shareholders approve all resolutions with the requisite majority. The key resolutions passed include the adoption of the Audited Standalone and Consolidated Financial Statements for the year ended March 31, 2026. Shareholders also approved a significant Special Resolution to raise equity share capital up to ₹5,000 crore in one or more tranches during the Financial Year 2026-27. This capital can be raised through various modes such as Follow-on Public Offer, Rights Issue, Qualified Institutional Placements, ESPS, or preferential issues to specific institutional investors. Furthermore, the shareholders approved the appropriation of accumulated losses as of March 31, 2026, from the Share Premium account. In a move concerning leadership, an Ordinary Resolution was passed to extend the tenure of Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, as a Whole-time Director of the Bank. His tenure has been extended from January 1, 2026, to October 8, 2027. The voting process involved remote e-voting from July 3 to July 6, 2026, and electronic voting during the AGM on July 7, 2026. The resolutions were passed with an overwhelming majority, with the capital raise resolution receiving 99.9904% of the votes in favour.
