Restaurant Brands Asia Limited (RBA), formerly Burger King India Limited, announced the successful completion of its acquisition by Inspira Global through its food and beverage platform, Lenexis Foodworks Private Limited. The transaction, which includes a fresh infusion of primary capital and the acquisition of erstwhile promoter shareholding, marks a significant investment of approximately ₹2,235 crore in the Indian quick-service restaurant segment. Following the completion, Inspira Global now owns 41.78% of RBA. This shareholding is expected to increase to 48.04% upon the exercise of all warrants, with an additional infusion of ₹450 crore. The board of RBA has approved the appointment of Mr. Madhusudan Agrawal as Chairman and Mr. Aayush Agrawal as a non-executive director. RBA will continue to operate the Burger King® and Popeyes® brands under existing agreements, which have been extended through 2050.
