The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) has awarded the Infosys Prize 2025 to six outstanding researchers across six categories: Economics, Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The award ceremony, held in Bengaluru on January 10, 2026, recognized researchers under the age of 40 for their significant contributions.

Chief Guest Prof. Randy Schekman, a 2013 Nobel laureate, felicitated the winners with a gold medal, a citation, and a prize purse of USD 100,000 (approximately ₹83 lakh). The Infosys Prize, now in its 17th year, aims to acknowledge and encourage early recognition for exceptional talent in scientific research.

The awardees include Nikhil Agarwal for Economics, Sushant Sachdeva for Engineering and Computer Science, Andrew Ollett for Humanities and Social Sciences, Anjana Badrinarayanan for Life Sciences, Sabyasachi Mukherjee for Mathematical Sciences, and Karthish Manthiram for Physical Sciences. These researchers were selected by jury panels headed by eminent academics in their respective fields.

As part of the Infosys Prize Sabbatical program, winners residing outside India are invited to spend 30 days at an Indian institution to foster collaborations within the scientific community. The Infosys Science Foundation, a not-for-profit trust established in 2009, remains committed to supporting research excellence and inspiring future generations of scientists.
