Infosys Limited has announced the launch of 'Ally', an AI-powered chatbot developed in collaboration with ATP, the global governing body of men's professional tennis. This chatbot, powered by Infosys TopazTM, aims to enhance fan engagement by providing real-time insights and interactive conversations about match statistics, tournament draws, player comparisons, and historical records. The partnership between Infosys and ATP, which began in 2015 with Infosys as the Digital Innovation Partner, has been extended through 2028.
Ally is designed to offer a seamless experience for fans, journalists, players, and coaches. It features continuous learning mechanisms for evolving responses and is integrated with the ATP Stats Centre to ensure fact-checked information. Robust guardrails are in place for content filtering, PII removal, and misinformation prevention.
Additionally, Infosys and ATP have launched Version 2.0 of their 'Carbon Tracker' initiative, which helps players measure and reduce their travel emissions. Since its inception in 2023, the tool has tracked 2.3 million kilometers of travel and offset 585 tonnes of carbon in 2025 alone.
Chris Dix, ATP Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the excitement around using AI to deliver deeper experiences for players and fans, making tennis more interactive and accessible. Sumit Virmani, Chief Marketing Officer at Infosys, emphasized Ally's role in shifting from passive viewing to interactive participation, bringing the joy of tennis closer to millions globally.
