InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) has been directed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to investigate allegations of creating an "artificial shortage" of seats. This follows a prima facie order issued by the CCI on February 4, 2026, under Section 26(1) of the Competition Act, 2002. The investigation will be conducted by the CCI's Director General (DG). The order was issued after a news item published on Moneycontrol.com on February 5, 2026, brought attention to the alleged practices. The company has made a disclosure to the stock exchanges regarding this development, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. IndiGo is currently reviewing the CCI's order and will determine the appropriate course of action upon a detailed review.
