India Glycols Limited has received an order from the Additional Commissioner, ACC (Import), NCH, New Delhi, concerning its Ennature Bio-Pharma division. The order, dated 18th December 2025 and received on 29th December 2025, confirms a customs duty demand of ₹32,95,005 for short-paid duty, along with applicable interest. Additionally, an equal penalty of ₹32,95,005 has been imposed under the Customs Act, 1962.

The issue pertains to the customs classification of certain goods imported by the company's Ennature Bio-Pharma division between June 2020 and September 2024. Despite the company submitting a detailed reply to the allegations, the adjudicating authority did not consider the submissions favorably and confirmed the duty demand and penalty. The company had previously deposited ₹32,96,284 towards duty and ₹11,22,338 as interest, totaling ₹44,18,622, under protest.

India Glycols Limited, based on its assessment and legal counsel's advice, believes it has a strong case on merits. The company intends to file an appeal and does not anticipate any material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities.
