Hindustan Zinc Limited announced its production figures for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. The company achieved its highest-ever third quarter mined metal production at 276 kt, driven by increased ore production. Refined metal production also reached a record high of 270 kt for the quarter, attributed to the commissioning of debottlenecking projects at Chanderiya & Dariba, the ramp-up of the 160 Ktpa roaster at Debari, and improved plant availability.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, Hindustan Zinc reported its highest-ever mined metal production at 799 kt, resulting from higher ore production, better grades, and improved recoveries. Refined zinc production for the nine-month period was 624 kt, a 2% increase year-on-year, while refined lead production stood at 142 kt, a 16% decrease year-on-year due to operational modes and lower plant availability.
Saleable silver production for the third quarter was 158 metric tonnes, a 10% increase quarter-on-quarter, aligning with lead production. Wind power generation for the quarter was 50 MU, a 5% increase year-on-year. For the nine-month period, wind power generation was 316 MU, an 11% increase year-on-year.
The company also highlighted that the highest ever 3Q FY26 mined metal production figure is since the underground transition.
