In this capacity, Vij will oversee Hexaware's interactions with the Private Markets ecosystem, encompassing Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Debt, Real Estate, SWF, Distressed Debt funds, and their portfolio companies, aiming to drive strategy and business expansion. Vij brings over two decades of experience in advising Private Markets investors and portfolio leaders on value creation initiatives. He has been recognized among the Top 25 Private Equity Consultants and Leaders for 2025. His expertise lies in aligning strategic priorities with operational execution, focusing on measurable outcomes and long-term value creation. R. Srikrishna, CEO and Executive Director of Hexaware, stated that Vij possesses a unique blend of private markets expertise, technological acumen, and an operator's mindset. Before joining Hexaware, Amit Vij held leadership positions in private markets engagement at prominent IT and business process solutions firms. He also served on the executive management team of a knowledge process outsourcing venture that was acquired by Moody’s Corp. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London. Vij's professional background includes a distinguished career as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, retiring as a squadron leader. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy.
