HCL Technologies Limited announced through its software division, HCLSoftware, its intent to acquire Jaspersoft, a business unit of Cloud Software Group. This acquisition is set to bolster HCLSoftware's Data & AI division (Actian) by integrating embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting capabilities. Jaspersoft is a well-established provider of business intelligence and reporting platforms, known for its embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting solutions, particularly favored by regulated industries like government and financial services. The integration is expected to enhance Actian's offerings, providing an end-to-end data management experience and expanding its reach through a global developer community. Marc Power, CEO of Actian & Portfolio General Manager of HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division, stated that the acquisition will enable seamless AI-powered embedded analytics with strong architectural flexibility, allowing for scalable self-service business intelligence. Steven Schneider, General Manager of Analytics business unit at Cloud Software Group, expressed confidence in HCLSoftware as a strategic owner for Jaspersoft. The acquisition is structured as an asset carve-out with 100% cash consideration, totaling US$240 million. Approximately 115 Jaspersoft employees will transfer to HCLSoftware. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, including from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and is expected to close within six months of signing, which occurred on December 22, 2025.
