HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCL Technologies Limited (HCLTech), has announced its intent to acquire Jaspersoft, a business unit of Cloud Software Group. This acquisition aims to enhance HCLSoftware's Data & AI division (Actian) by adding embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting capabilities. Jaspersoft provides a comprehensive business intelligence and reporting platform, known for its pixel-perfect reporting, interactive dashboards, and advanced visualizations, serving regulated industries like government, banking, and financial services. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Actian's Agentic Business Intelligence roadmap by enabling seamless AI-powered embedded analytics with strong architectural flexibility. The deal, structured as an asset carve-out for 100% cash consideration, is valued at US$240 million. Approximately 115 Jaspersoft employees globally will transfer to HCLSoftware upon the deal's closure. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals, including from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and is expected to close within six months of signing.
