Greenply Industries Limited has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Greenply Speciality Panels Private Limited, has received an order from the Assistant Commissioner Of State Tax, Gujarat, dated December 26, 2025. The order pertains to the Financial Year 2021-22 and demands additional tax for excess Input Tax Credit (ITC) availed on ineligible claims. The total demand includes ₹1,21,62,440 towards additional tax, ₹87,32,966 as interest, and a penalty of ₹12,16,244, amounting to a total of ₹2,21,11,650. The company stated that it has complied with all prescribed conditions regarding ITC availment and believes it has a strong case on merits. Greenply Industries Limited plans to file a rectification and/or appeal against the order within the stipulated timelines. The company also clarified that this order is not expected to have a material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities.
