Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has announced a significant change in its leadership. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, has been nominated by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) as the new Managing Director of the company, replacing Dr. T. Natarajan, IAS. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal assumed charge as the Managing Director on December 29, 2025. This appointment is a result of an order from the General Administration Department of GoG dated December 23, 2025. Dr. T. Natarajan has ceased to be the Managing Director effective December 29, 2025, having relinquished his charge as per the same GoG order. However, Dr. T. Natarajan will continue to serve on the Board as a Nominee Director representing the Finance Department of GoG. The company will now proceed with the necessary statutory procedures, including approvals from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board, to formally induct Shri Rajkumar Beniwal as Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal is not debarred from holding a director's office by any SEBI order or similar authority. He is an IAS officer from the 2004 batch (Gujarat Cadre) with a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Public Administration from Duke University, USA. His prior roles include Collector and District Magistrate of Mehsana and Ahmedabad, District Development Officer in Kutch, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board, and Managing Director of Gujarat Urban Development Company Limited.
