Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has announced a significant change in its leadership. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, has been nominated by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) to assume the role of Managing Director, succeeding Dr. T. Natarajan, IAS. This appointment is effective from December 29, 2025.

Dr. T. Natarajan, IAS, has relinquished his charge as Managing Director as per the GoG's General Administration Department order dated December 23, 2025. However, he will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as a Nominee Director representing the Finance Department of GoG.

The company is set to complete the necessary statutory procedures to formally induct Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, onto the Board as Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel. His appointment is also subject to the approval of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal is not debarred from holding any directorship by any SEBI order or similar authority.

Shri Rajkumar Beniwal brings nearly two decades of public service experience and holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Duke University, USA. His prior roles include Collector and District Magistrate of Mehsana and Ahmedabad, District Development Officer in Kutch, and Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Gujarat Maritime Board. He has also served as Managing Director of Gujarat Urban Development Company Limited and Commissioner of Municipalities Administration.
