Genesys International Corporation Limited has launched India's first large-scale High-Definition (HD) maps specifically engineered for ADAS-enabled vehicles. This initiative covers over 1 lakh km of national highways, expressways, and strategic corridors, aiming to enhance road safety by providing centimeter-level context such as lane geometry, curves, slopes, signage, and barriers. The development leverages the Survey of India's Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) network to achieve the required accuracy. This collaboration, built on an existing MoU, allows for precise capture of lane-level and asset-level detail, meeting global automotive standards. The HD maps include critical ADAS features and are owned by Genesys, with potential licensing opportunities across various industries including commercial fleet navigation, logistics, mobility platforms, safety analytics, and automotive R&D. Mr. Hitesh Makwana, Surveyor General of India, highlighted the role of geospatial infrastructure in national development, while Mr. Sajid Malik, Chairman & Managing Director of Genesys, emphasized the convergence of mobility, mapping, and digital intelligence for safer transportation systems in India.
