Fortis Healthcare Limited has initiated a postal ballot process to seek approval from its members for the appointment of Mr. Mohd Shahazwan Bin Mohd Harris (DIN: 08465456) as a Non-Independent & Non-Executive Director. The company is sending the postal ballot notice to its members on December 23, 2025. Mr. Harris was appointed as an Additional Director effective December 19, 2025, and is liable to retire by rotation. Shareholders can cast their votes electronically via e-voting or by postal ballot. The remote e-voting period commences on December 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. IST and concludes on January 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. IST. Ballots received after this date will be considered invalid. Mr. Mukesh Agarwal has been appointed as the Scrutinizer to ensure a fair and transparent voting process. The result of the postal ballot will be declared on or before January 27, 2026. Mr. Mohd Shahazwan Bin Mohd Harris, aged 54, brings extensive experience in investments, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio and asset management, and corporate strategy, with over 25 years in the field. He holds an MBA from MIT and degrees from Imperial College and the University of Warwick. He previously served as Advisor, Special Projects in UEM Group and was Head of Strategic Investments at the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). He also held senior roles at Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Bain & Co., and Temasek International Advisory, and is currently on the Advisory Board of Stashaway. He was appointed to the Board of IHH Healthcare Berhad in March 2023. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board of Directors have recommended his appointment.
