Firstsource Solutions Limited (FSL), an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, has announced the acquisition of TeleMedik, a Puerto Rico-based technology solutions provider. This strategic move is set to significantly enhance Firstsource's end-to-end clinical and utilization management capabilities, broaden its reach within U.S. payer-provider networks, and enrich its Business Process as a Service (BPaaS++) offering for health plan clients.

The acquisition aims to address the growing need for cost containment solutions and digital transformation in the healthcare sector, driven by higher utilization rates and the shift towards value-based care models. By integrating TeleMedik's operational footprint and digital solutions, including generative AI capabilities, with its existing AI and automation strengths, Firstsource intends to modernize the entire medical management lifecycle for health plans.
