Essar Shipping Limited has announced the partial redemption of its 1% Secured, Redeemable, Unlisted, Unrated, Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). The redemption pertains to debentures issued to Abhinand Ventures Private Limited, in accordance with the terms of issue. This action was taken on January 30, 2026. The total number of debentures being redeemed is 5,853,000, with a total value of ₹58,53,00,000 (₹58.53 crore). The amount paid on redemption, including principal and interest, totals ₹59,01,74,827 (₹59.01 crore). This comprises ₹5,85,30,000 towards principal and ₹4,874,827 as interest, along with a premium of ₹5,26,77,000. The company has indicated that this is a partial redemption and that there were prior redemptions on December 5, 2025. Following this redemption, 38,704,750 NCDs remain outstanding.
