Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (Udupi-CSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), has secured a notable order from Ocean Sparkle Limited, an Adani Group company. The order is for the construction of four Azimuthing Stern Drive (ASD) Tugs, each with a 70 Ton Bollard Pull Power. These tugs will be built according to the Approved Standard Tug Design and Specifications (ASTDS) established by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India. The deliveries for these tugs are scheduled to commence in November 2028 and are expected to be completed by June 2029. Cochin Shipyard Limited has classified this order as 'Notable', indicating a value between ₹100 Crore and ₹250 Crore. Neither the promoters, promoter group, nor any group companies of CSL have any interest in Ocean Sparkle Limited, and this order does not constitute a related party transaction.
