Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced its provisional production and offtake performance for the month of December 2025 and the period from April 2025 to December 2025. The company reported a 4.6% increase in coal production for December 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 75.7 million tonnes. For the cumulative period of April to December 2025, production stood at 529.2 million tonnes, a slight decrease of 2.6% compared to the previous year.

In terms of offtake, CIL recorded a 5.2% decrease in December 2025, with off-take at 64.9 million tonnes. For the April-December 2025 period, offtake was 544.7 million tonnes, a decrease of 2.2% year-on-year. The announcement provides a detailed breakdown of production and offtake figures for each of CIL's subsidiary companies, including Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), and North Eastern Coalfields (NEC).
