Coal India Limited (CIL) has been awarded a Composite License for the Grant of Mineral Concession by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. This significant development pertains to the Kawalapur REE and RM block, spanning 398 hectares.

The license is awarded by a domestic entity, and its terms are in accordance with the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, as amended. The holder of the Composite License is expected to become the holder of the Mining Lease within five years, with the Mining Lease deed to be executed by the State Government.

This announcement follows the framework outlined under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and SEBI circular SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024. CIL has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited about this development.
