CESC Limited announced that its subsidiary, CESC Green Power Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL), a Government of Odisha undertaking. This agreement is for the establishment of a significant solar manufacturing facility in Odisha. The project will include facilities for 3 GW Solar Cell manufacturing, 3 GW Solar Module manufacturing, 5 GWh Advanced Chemistry Cell Pack production, and Advanced Solar Components. Additionally, a 60 MW AC Captive Power Plant Unit will be set up at Chhatia - Ambakhala, within the Gondia Tahasil of Dhenkanal district in Odisha. The total investment for this project is estimated to be around ₹4,500 crore. This information is being submitted under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
