Bharti Airtel Limited has received a notice from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Jammu & Kashmir LSA, imposing a penalty of ₹1,04,000. This penalty is for alleged violation of subscriber verification norms under the license agreement. The DoT conducted a sample Customer Application Form (CAF) Audit for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26. The company disputes the notice and stated that it will take appropriate actions for rectification or reversal of the alleged violation. The maximum financial impact is limited to the penalty amount levied.
