Bartronics India Limited (BIL) has commenced the execution of its agritech strategy with a structured rollout in Maharashtra and plans to expand into Uttar Pradesh as part of its pan-India farmer onboarding and digital platform deployment. Over the past two weeks, the company held 10 field engagement sessions in key agricultural districts of Maharashtra. These sessions involved farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, traders, commission agents, logistics and warehouse operators, food processors, and rural service providers. These networks collectively represent access to several lakh farmers, with an extended reach of over one million farmers through affiliated entities. Bartronics India's approach integrates farmers with market access, logistics, storage, and allied services. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director, Bartronics India Limited, stated, "Our focus in Maharashtra has been on building a connected, ground-up agritech ecosystem rather than isolated interventions. The strong participation from farmers and ecosystem partners validates our platform approach, and this model is now being taken forward into Uttar Pradesh and other regions as part of our pan-India agritech strategy." The farmer networks engaged represent diverse crops including onions, cashews, mangoes, wheat, jowar, and bajra. As part of the activation, Ampivo AI, in line with its Memorandum of Understanding with Bartronics India, soft-launched its multilingual agritech application. This application will serve as the digital backbone for farmer onboarding, ecosystem participant mapping, and marketplace enablement. Ampivo AI is developing the core technology infrastructure, including a mobile application and marketplace stack, to support individual farmers, FPOs, traders, logistics partners, and processors. The multilingual interface aims to enable adoption among local-language users, with onboarding currently in progress. Following the Maharashtra phase, the company plans to initiate field activation and onboarding in Uttar Pradesh, leveraging its strong operational presence. This will be followed by a phased rollout across additional agricultural regions. This transition marks Bartronics India's move from pilot activities to live, multi-layer agritech execution, positioning the company to scale its farmer-centric digital platform across India in a structured, measurable, and sustainable manner.
