More Details on This News
Bartronics India Limited has received Board approval to acquire a 51% stake in AYOU, a fresh produce brand operated by Shree NagaNarasimha Pvt. Ltd. This strategic investment marks Bartronics' entry into structured agri trade under Project Avio Agritech and aims to strengthen its presence in the fresh produce value chain.
AYOU aggregates fruits and vegetables directly from farmers and supplies them to leading quick commerce and modern retail platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and BigBasket. The company operates a 6,000 sq. ft. processing and grading facility with a capacity of up to 900 tonnes per month. Bartronics' investment is expected to facilitate expansion in aggregation volumes, processing capacity, and trade cycles, enabling the addition of new SKUs and higher-margin categories.
The collaboration also involves evaluating export opportunities, with Dubai being considered as a strategic base for agri exports, particularly for premium fruits and vegetables. The companies are also exploring selective imports of dry fruits and exotic produce into India, aiming to create a two-way agri trade corridor. Singapore and other international markets are also under evaluation for future expansion.
Mr. N. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director of Bartronics India Limited, stated that the investment in AYOU is an execution-led step in their agritech journey. He highlighted that AYOU provides an established operating platform with strong off-take relationships, allowing Bartronics to scale alongside existing demand and build capabilities in aggregation, value addition, exports, and agri-commerce. AYOU is led by Co-Founders K. Ramagopal and Anand Kumar, who have significant experience in agri supply-chain and producer engagement.
