Balkrishna Industries Limited announced the outcome of its Board of Directors meeting held on December 19, 2025. The Board approved the re-appointment of Mr. Arvind Poddar as Chairman & Managing Director for a period of five years, effective August 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. Additionally, the Board approved the appointment of Mr. Natarajan Gnanaskandan Tanjore as an Independent Director for a term of five consecutive years, effective February 1, 2026. Mr. Ashok Saraf was also appointed as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, effective February 1, 2026, liable to retire by rotation, also subject to shareholder approval. The Board also approved a Postal Ballot Notice dated December 19, 2025, for these director appointments. The e-voting period will commence on December 24, 2025, and conclude on January 22, 2026. In a separate development, the company announced the completion of one line of its Carbon Black Production facility, increasing the total installed capacity to 2,65,000 TPA. This is part of the previously approved capital expenditure of approximately ₹3,500 Crores over three years for additional production facilities at Bhuj. The balance of the Carbon Black project is progressing as per schedule.
