Bajel Projects Limited has announced the bagging of an Ultra Mega EPC Order for Transmission Lines from PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The order, valued at over ₹400 Crore, is for the construction of Transmission Line Package TL02, involving an 87.3 km, 765 kV double-circuit line between Vindhyachal Pool and Prayagraj. This project is a critical component of the "Inter-regional (NR-WR) Transmission System strengthening" initiative, aimed at relieving the loading of the existing 765 kV Vindhyachal-Varanasi D/c line and ensuring a more resilient power flow between the Northern and Western Grids. The EPC contract is to be completed within 21 months from the date of the Notification of Award. Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects Limited, stated that securing this order validates the company's strategy of winning technically demanding contracts and highlights their leadership in the high-voltage EPC domain. This award further strengthens Bajel's order book, following the successful commissioning of over 2,000 circuit kilometers of transmission lines between 2024-26. The company confirmed that neither the promoter nor any group companies have an interest in PGCIL, and the transaction is not a related party transaction.
