Bajaj Auto Limited has announced that its step-down subsidiary, Bajaj Mobility AG (formerly PIERER Mobility AG), is continuing its restructuring efforts and implementing an efficiency program. This program involves significant cost reductions, streamlining of structures, and optimization of its international network.

As part of these measures, Bajaj Mobility AG expects consolidated sales for fiscal year 2025 to be just over EUR 1 billion, a decrease of approximately 46% compared to the previous year. Motorcycle sales for the group in 2025 totaled 209,704 units, a 28% decline. However, there was a positive trend in the second half of 2025, with motorcycle sales increasing by 60% compared to the first half.

The company also reported a successful reduction in motorcycle inventory, decreasing from 248,580 units at the end of 2024 to 147,427 units by December 31, 2025. Sales of e-bicycles and bicycles were 64,110 units, down 40% from the previous year, as the company has divested its bicycle business.

A key aspect of the restructuring involves a reduction of approximately 500 employees, primarily in white-collar and middle management roles, bringing the total headcount to 3,794 as of December 31, 2025. The company's CEO, Gottfried Neumeister, stated that these measures are necessary to lower costs and ensure long-term stability.

Bajaj Mobility AG, supported by its majority shareholder Bajaj Auto International Holdings B.V., aims to strengthen its competitiveness and focus on its core motorcycle brands: KTM, Husqvarna, and GASGAS. The preliminary figures for the Bajaj Mobility Group's 2025 fiscal year are scheduled to be published on January 29, 2026.
