Aurobindo Pharma Limited announced the inauguration of TheraNym, one of India's largest dedicated biologics contract manufacturing organizations (CMO), located in Borapatla, Telangana. The facility was inaugurated on June 03, 2026, by Shri D. Sridhar Babu and Shri Damodar Raja Narasimha, Ministers of the Government of Telangana. TheraNym represents Aurobindo Pharma's strategic expansion into biologics contract manufacturing, a growing global segment. Dr. Satakarni Makkapati, CEO Biologics and Director, Aurobindo Pharma Limited, highlighted that the facility is designed to meet the highest international standards and serve global pharmaceutical companies, with MSD as its anchor customer. The facility is equipped with 15 KL bioreactors, advanced downstream processing suites, aseptic fill-finish capabilities, and quality control laboratories, designed to meet international regulatory expectations. Dr. Dave Maraldo, MSD Executive Vice President, stated that this partnership strengthens the global supply chain for critical biologic medicines. Mr. Nithyananda Reddy, Vice Chairman and MD, Aurobindo Pharma, expressed gratitude to the Telangana Government for its support and emphasized the company's focus on the high-growth biologics segment. The announcement also highlighted Hyderabad's role as India's premier pharmaceutical and biotechnology hub, supported by government policies and infrastructure.
