Associated Alcohols & Breweries Limited has announced that its members have approved significant alterations to the company's Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA). These changes were passed with the requisite majority on December 28, 2025, the final day for e-voting.

The approved alterations include the insertion of a new Clause No. 5 under the main Object Clause (III)(A) of the MOA. This new clause broadly permits the company to engage in the business of generating, producing, refining, selling, and dealing in power derived from both conventional and non-conventional methods. This encompasses activities related to solar, wind, thermal, and other energy sources, including energy conservation and efficient utilization.

Additionally, the Articles of Association have been amended with the insertion of a new definition for "Power Purchase Agreement and wheeling agreement (WA)" and a new Article No. 157. Article 157 elaborates on the company's expanded scope to conduct power generation, transmission, and distribution business, including for captive consumption and commercial use.
