Aspinwall and Company Limited has received a notice from the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru, Karnataka, concerning a Private Complaint Report (PCR) filed by the Lokayukta, Bengaluru. The complaint pertains to alleged irregularities in the export of iron ore during the period of 2006-2010.

The company clarified that the Hon’ble Court has not yet taken cognizance of the alleged offenses. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled to allow parties to present their case before a decision on cognizance is made. Notices have been served to individuals currently serving on the Board who were part of the company during the period in question, including Shri Rama Varma, Managing Director, and Shri CRR Varma, Non-Executive Director.

As the court is yet to determine whether to take cognizance, there is currently no impact on the company's operations or its Board's functioning. Aspinwall stated that it is unable to quantify any potential financial impact at this stage, as its business during that period was limited to CHA and stevedoring services.

The notices were delivered to the company on January 15, 2026. The management is currently assessing the implications and details of the complaint, which led to a delay in disclosing this information to the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The company has committed to providing further updates as the legal process unfolds.
