Aksh Optifibre Limited has received a significant award from an Arbitral Tribunal in its dispute with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The tribunal has allowed the company's claim for interest on delayed payments for supplies made during the 2018-19 period, alongside the outstanding dues. The award includes a principal amount of ₹9,21,070. Furthermore, the Arbitral Tribunal has mandated interest at a rate of 10% per annum on a reducing balance basis on each invoice from its due date (six months post-delivery) until the award date. Additionally, post-award interest at 11% per annum will be payable until full payment is received. The company has also been awarded costs amounting to ₹16,12,465.56 to be paid by BSNL.
