Agro Phos India Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Samir Kumar Biswas as a Non-Executive Additional Independent Director. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting held on 31st December, 2025, following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Mr. Biswas's appointment is effective from 31st December, 2025, and he will serve for a term of 5 years, subject to shareholder approval. He brings a wealth of experience, including a background as a retired IAS officer with significant experience in various roles within the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra. His professional career encompasses board-level experience in chemical companies (CPSEs) and leadership roles as CEO in finance, infrastructure, and textile sectors. He also has extensive experience in facilitating the growth of the chemicals and petrochemicals industry.

Mr. Biswas holds an IIT Madras B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, a PG Diploma in Public Policy & Management from IIM Bangalore, a Master of Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and has completed an Executive Public Policy program from the University of California, Berkeley. The company has confirmed that Mr. Biswas is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding a director's office by any SEBI order or other authority.
