ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD), has launched AODH Irish Whiskey in India. This move signifies ABD's entry into one of the fastest-growing spirits segments in the country. ABD Maestro, co-founded by Ranveer Singh, aims to create world-class brands for global audiences. AODH, meaning 'flame' in Irish, is crafted using a signature triple distillation process and matured in ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a smooth, silky palate with notes of vanilla cream, honey, and toffee. Bikram Basu, Managing Director of ABD Maestro, stated that AODH is a strategic addition to their super-premium spirits portfolio, designed to appeal to discerning consumers. India is a significant growth market for Irish Whiskey, with exports increasing by 57% and the country ranking as the fifth-largest market globally for this category. The launch of AODH aligns with ABD Maestro's strategy to offer premium, authentic spirits and cater to the evolving preferences of Indian consumers. The whiskey is initially launched in Haryana and will be available in Maharashtra for ₹3,950 (750ml), with subsequent expansion planned for other key markets including Goa, West Bengal, Karnataka, and Delhi.
