3i Infotech Limited has filed a complaint with the Additional Commissioner of Police, Economic Offence Wing, Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, on February 3, 2026. This disclosure follows up on an earlier announcement from November 12, 2025, where the Board of Directors accepted the report of a High Powered Committee and decided to take legal action. The complaint pertains to a large-scale corporate financial fraud, criminal breach of trust, cheating, dishonest misappropriation, and criminal conspiracy. These alleged actions stem from the fraudulent disinvestment of 3i Consumer Services Limited (now eMudhra Limited) and the wrongful redemption of preference shares issued by eMudhra Limited. The estimated impact on the listed entity is over ₹128 crore, plus interest and damages. The period of occurrence for these alleged activities is from December 2010 to January 2021. The persons involved include eMudhra Limited, Mr. Venkatraman Srinivasan (former MD & CEO of 3i Infotech and present Executive Chairman of eMudhra), and Mr. Ravi Jagannathan (former MD of eMudhra). 3i Infotech is also in the process of submitting a complaint to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
